"This is my Dream" Layout -- DT Project for Rainbow Craftykari

Namaste Friends!!

I am Kriti from India...I am back with a new project and this is an inspiration post...A layout with some bright colours..."This is my dream"....A dream can cause hope...This is a dream of a wish to come true...only hope we have.
The lines which I have used is from a song....these lines focus on the motivation and hope we get while dreaming.

And here's the project
 Some close-ups

A Brief for the layout

1 To start with, I have taken a wooden plank (Size is 10" x 8"), and affix few chipboard rectangular pieces on the right hand side to make a wall and gauge on the left hand side. Then covered the entire surface with gesso.

2. Next I have used a bubble stencil to make background more interesting using modelling paste, and covered the entire surface with gesso again.

3. Next I have added this beautiful Dreamcatcher chipboard, and few beads and again covered the surface with gesso.
4. After that used spray colours i.e., yellow, orange and red(Spray some water too to let them run).
5. Used gold, copper and black colour to highlight the textures.
6. Used few stamps, text, brick and music notations to make it more interesting.
7. Lastly embellished it with some coloured gauge, flowers, and a beautiful song lyrics.

A mixed media wall art by DT Kriti Mishra

Namaste everyone!!

I am Kriti Mishra and I am very excited to be a part of Rainbow Craftykari design team, and this is my first post. Heartiest thanks to Maninder Kaur and entire Rainbow Crafykari team for this opportunity. Today, I have come up with a tutorial post.
I have made a mixed media wall art. A sneak peak

Tutorial for this

1. Firstly take a watercolour paper, cover it with clear gesso and dry it with the heat gun.

2. After that take a regular tissue paper, crush it between your hands and tear it in small pieces. Now paste these small pieces over the paper (in random manner) to make the first layer of texture, and prime it with white heavy gesso(apply gesso with spatula to make more interesting extra texture). Now randomly add some thread to add more texture and cover it with  gesso, after that dry it with heat gun.

3. Spray some water on the surface and spray the colours. Movement will happen and stop spraying when you get the desired shade.

4. After that use any background stamp( I have used bubble stamp) to give a bit more contrast and to fill in a bit more of the open spaces.

5. Now embellish it in any way you like ( I embellish it with some burlap string, flowers, glass beads and with some sequins). Add lastly adorn it with a beautiful quote or a sentiment(I distressed the edges with distress ink). And its all done.
