Altered Mixed Media MDF Panel

Today, I have altered a MDF panel using lots of amazing products from Itsy Bitsy….So, sit back and enjoy the photo tutorial……

Before we begin, look at what I created and get inspired to create something today!

 

Let’s start………

1. I took a MDF panel and covered it entirely with Little Birdie’s White Gesso and left it to dry completely.
2. 
   

2. Then, I adhered some scrap pieces of puzzle using Little Birdie’s Heavy Gel Medium, after finalizing my focal point. In this project I am using two focal points using Little Birdie’s Quote Stencils.

3.  After that, completely cover it with white gesso again and let it dry….

4. The most interesting part is to colour the base….I have used Little Birdie’s Sailing Sky chalk paint and Little Birdie’s Color Splash – Hot Pink.

5. To make the focal point, I first applied Little Birdie’s Mixed Media paste using  the quote stencils on a white card stock. When it dried up completely, I had sprayed Hot pink Colour Splash.

After that, to highlight the quote, I brushed it with Little Birdie’s Charcoal – chalk paint.

After finalizing the composition…..it looked like this.

Mixed Media Wood Panel

I am Kriti Mishra. Today, I have created a mixed media wood panel using Little Birdie ‘Element Sheets’. For this, I have written a detailed tutorial for all of you….So, sit back with a cup of coffee and enjoy the tutorial.

This is the wood panel that I have created with some awesome supplies from Itsy Bitsy…

I hope you get inspired and try it once…

So, let’s start….

1. I took a scrap piece of wood and covered it entirely with black gesso after sanding it and left it to dry. After that, I applied another coat of black gesso.

2.  Next, to add some textures, I took the stencil “Irregular Dots” and applied Little Birdie Crackle Paste on it. When it dried, I covered it with black gesso again.

3. After that, I applied Little Birdie Metallic Wax -Copper Blaze….to highlight the textures and to give some base color to my project.

4. For the final composition, I have used the element sheet – Floral Spectacle, Ephemera Embellishments – Fairy Sparkle, some handmade flowers and chipboard – Leaf Flourish, some wooden elements and craft pellets. After finalizing the composition, I pasted all the elements using silicon glue.

And Tada! Its ready. This is the final look and few more detailed pictures are below.

Mixed Media Shadow Box

I am Kriti Mishra, this is my first DT post and I am super excited to begin this journey with Itsy Bitsy….

Today, I have created a mixed media shadow box using Little Birdie Element Sheets. For this, I have written a detailed tutorial for all of you….So, sit back with a cup of coffee and enjoy the tutorial.

This is the Shadow box that I have created with some awesome supplies by Itsy Bitsy…

So, let’s start….

1. I took a shadow box and covered it entirely with white gesso. After that, to add some textures on the borders, I took the stencil “Irregular Dots” and applied Little Birdie Fiber Paste on it.

4. Next, I had applied crackle paste using the stencil ‘Star Circle’ on the left side and applied Little Birdie Glass Bead Gel Medium on the right side using a palette knife.

8. After that I had pasted the corrugated sheet as shown and covered it with white gesso. When it dried, I applied the Glass Beads Gel medium to give some extra texture.

12. Now the most interesting part…. I diluted the chalk paint Sailing Sky and applied all over it. When it dried, I diluted the chalk paint Charcoal and applied only where I wanted to give the depth to the project.

16. For the final composition, I have selected few chip boards like Dream catcher, Dream Big and Vine, element sheet Sunflower Meadow and flowers – Wild Icy blue. After finalizing the composition, I pasted all the elements using silicon glue.

And Tada! Its ready. This is the final look and few more detailed pictures are below.
