Table Top Decor with Foam Flowers

Namaste Friends!!

Kriti this side…

Today I have a table top decor for you all with some handmade foam flowers made with Little Birdie’s ‘Bloom Foam’.

This is what I made….

Start making your foam flowers with a bloom foam flower making sheet. The thickness of these foams is 0.7 mm, just perfect for making realistic flowers.

Now, I took a cutting die and cut flowers using Little Birdie’s Dream Cut die cutting machine. I coloured these with soft pastels and shaped these by rubbing between my palms.

After that, I took a piece of cardboard of size 4″ x 9″.

I applied, Little Birdie’s White Gesso to make the surface nonporous. When it dried, using a stencil, I applied Little Birdie’s 2 – in – 1 mixed media paste.

Now, it’s time to play with the colours. I have selected Little Birdie’s Hot Pink Color Splash and Frosted Pool Alcohol Splash.

After assembling all the elements, it’s looking like this.

Handmade Card – Celebrate Everything

 Namaste Friends !!

Kriti this side….. Hope you all are healthy and fine.

Today I want to share a handmade card using leftover pattern papers. I have used Little Birdie ‘Aqua Medley’ paper pack this time to make my card.

Generally, we use pattern papers to make scrapbook albums, envelops., etc. and what is left with us is lots of leftover papers! At times we really don’t know how and where to use them. So, I have an idea.We can make cards and tags with these left over papers.

This paper pack has lots of shades of blue. The cherry on top is it has coordinating elements too, to cut and use as embellishments.

This is my card and I have a detailed picture tutorial for this too.

Here is the detail picture tutorial…..

Step 1: Take a white card stock card base of size 8″ x 8″ and fold it at 4″. Take one piece of pattern paper from the Aqua medley paper pack. Cut it with the dimensions 7- 3/4″ x 3-3/4″.

Step 2: Now, take another piece of white card stock of dimension 7- 1/2″ x 3-1/2″. Take another piece of pattern paper from the Aqua medley paper pack. Cut it with the dimensions 7″ x 3″.

Step 3: To add some interest, I stitched the borders of both the pattern papers.

Step 4:  Next, adhere  all the layers one above the other according to their respective sizes with the help of  double – sided tape to give some dimension to the card.

Step 5: It’s time to decorate the card. For that I have used a beautiful chipboard from the store and to add some interest I have added cheesecloth.

Step 6: I have used some fussy cut pieces from one of the sheets from the paper pack.

Step 7: Finally, I added few handmade flowers from the same collection. Added few beads and sentiments and Voila it’s ready!

Some close- up pics….

I hope you like it…..
